2013 gave us an overwhelming about of epic, folk inspired black metal. Bands like Saor, Vallendusk, Caladan Brood, Summoning, and Falkenbach are just a few that spring to mind off the top of my head, yet Eoront somehow escaped me, but thanks to my buddy who shared this with me today I can now add them amongst those bands.
If you’re familiar with any of the bands I mentioned about you have an idea of what’s in store on this album. Grand, sweeping black metal passages that are larger than life and epic as fuck. This sort of black metal will always get me excited, especially when it’s done so damn well, and this one is. It’s beautiful in it’s scope, execution and sound. While it seems the band roster has been filled out since last year, all previously released music was made by just one man. You gotta love these one-man black metal bands. The amount of talent and dedication is staggering, and oh so inspiring.
Just put this in your ears.
