Ho boy, this one is a scorcher! Just right out of the gate, blistering black metal for 33 minutes. The band only released this one full-length, a couple demo’s and a split but this one album seems to be enough. While a lot of new (er) black metal bands are incorporating all sorts of different musical styles and elements into the mix, and which I’m a fan of, you sometimes forget how satisfying and straight forward, skull smashing, overtly satanic black metal album can be. Especially one that is played so well. That album is Blood for Satan. Maybe not a genre classic (though that album cover art is pretty awesome) but definitely overlooked.

Of note. The drummer for this band was also in Enochian Crescent, whom I covered last week, if you’re interested in more killer Finnish black metal.
