I think I’ve gleamed all I can from Eyehategod. This is the third album of theirs to show up on my doom journey list and I only really wanted to delve into their back catalog based on how much I enjoyed their newest album from 2014. Credit where credit is due, they are probably one of the raining champions of sludge but I kind of get the impression that if you’ve heard one album of theirs you’ve heard them all. That’s not to say they are bad, far from it, they’ve just mastered their sound to the point where you know what you’re getting with these guys. For me, I’m still drifting back to their self-titled album from last year.
