Iron Monkey seem to be the UK’s answer to Eyehategod, playing a very similar of version of punked up, sludge metal. The difference being Iron Monkey likes to focus on dissonant feedback for great lengths of time. There are multiple songs in the +10 minutes range that for most of their play time, are just that. Random guitar chords feeding back at great lengths. The rest of the album is pretty damn good. A little more crust punk than Eyehategod, with some solid riffs and some nasty, ghoulish vocals. The punk part of it really appeals to me.
