If Conan the Barbarian had a personal playlist, I imagine this album would be on it. Pulp shlock overload is the name of the game with this album. Just look at the cover. It’s like a frenzied warrior dreaming of Frazetta, Lovecraft, Howard and D&D put to some classic sounding doom metal. And that’s the thing with this band. They aren’t treading any new ground at all in 2008 with this album, but they have such enthusiasm for what they’re doing that it’s infectious. Grab an old Conan comic, or a broadsword and jam this.
